French fine-dining restaurant Seasons is set to have a new executive chef starting October 11. Chef Lorenz Hoja (pictured), formerly of LondonL’ Atelier de Joël Robuchon, is the man taking over the reigns in Causeway Bay previously held by Olivier Elzer. Seasons is dropping ‘by Olivier E’ from its name as a result and ushering in autumn with a fresh start.

Chef Hoja is said to be devising a modern menu, drawing on his background at some of the world’s top restaurants – the likes of Restaurant Faventia in the Four Seasons Resort Terre Blanche in Tourettes, Restaurant Taubenkobel in Austria and, most recently, L’ Atelier de Joël Robuchon Singapore, where his team earned two Michelin stars in 2016 and 2017.

Expect modern innovations and contemporary presentation using the finest seasonally available ingredients. Chef Hoja has some big boots to fill but if his background is anything to go by, we can expect big things from this partnership. Sam Sinha
