Science Park's first charity run: Wonder Woman Run Hong Kong
Time Out says
Bring out your inner Wonder Woman at Science Park's first charity run this year
Trail races, marathons, and fun runs have been cancelled for most of 2020 because of the current social distancing restrictions. Hopefully this year, these organised runs won't be cancelled, so, if you're looking for fun activities this year plug the first-ever charity run to take place at Hong Kong Science Park in your calendar. The run will be themed on the DC superhero, Wonder Woman, a widely recognised symbol of hope and strength. She perfectly embodies the mission of Make-A-Wish Hong Kong, a Hong Kong-based charity that makes miracles come true for critically ill children, and is the beneficiary charity of the event.
Wonder Woman Run Hong Kong will take place on May 2, 2021, 7am to 3pm and will be divided into three courses, 3km, 5km, and 10km. The charity run will start from Science Park Road East and head towards Tai Po. The run will also pass along Tolo Highway and the Pak Shek Kok waterfront promenade. Participants can look forward to running alongside local celebrities, including Hong Kong rock climbing athlete, Lisa Cheng, Hong Kong long-distance runner, Crystal Vut, and Hong Kong cross country runner, Samantha Chan.
Each participant will receive a specially designed DC Wonder Woman Run commemorative souvenir set and finishers of the race will be awarded a Wonder Woman finisher medal, which can be attached to the Wonder Woman Bracelet. Various Wonder Woman paraphernalia will be available for purchase at the event too.
Registration is now open, visit Wonder Woman Run Hong Kong website to register. Early bird tickets are available for $398 for adults (regular price $428) and $738 for family (regular price $798). For updates and more information, visit Wonder Woman Run Hong Kong on Facebook.
