Time Out says

Located south of the Han river, Shilla Stay Yeoksam rests in the bustling business district of Gangnam, Seoul. The hotel was the second to open under Hotel Shilla Group’s new line of Shilla Stay hotels, which cater primarily to business travellers. You’ll find the LG Arts Centre and Seolleung Park within walking distance, while Garosu-gil Street, Bongeunsa temple and the expansive COEX Mall are just a short taxi ride away.

The rooms
Designed by Italian architect Piero Lissoni, the hotel has a minimalist, modern decor. Its 306 guestrooms offer great views of downtown Seoul. All rooms come with high-quality bedding, flat-screen TV, desk and an ensuite bathroom with Aveda toiletries. Standard and deluxe rooms are sized at 249sq ft, while the three grand rooms located on the top floor measure 497sq ft and come with a spacious lounge area.

The facilities
The hotel offers a range of facilities including a business centre, buffet restaurant and gym. Meeting rooms are available for small to medium-sized groups and come equipped with LCD projectors and sound systems. The hotel’s restaurant serves both continental and Korean cuisine, with recipes taken from the Shilla Seoul’s Parkview restaurant. There’s also a small lobby bar, complete with a cosy fireplace, sofa area and large communal table. A shuttle bus service to Incheon airport is available just outside the hotel.

The bottom line
While the Shilla Stay Yeoksam doesn’t match the more glamourous and glitzy amenities of the company’s flagship hotel, The Shilla Seoul, it still ranks as one of the best upscale business hotels in the city. Its modern, understated design and convenient location make it an ideal choice for business travellers and tourists alike.
