If you’ve ever been out and felt the urge to nick a glass, then you’ll agree with us: we love when bars have cute drinking vessels! It tracks that Bar Leone, whose founder Lorenzo Antinori is all about curating the best hospitality experiences, has now upgraded things at the newly crowned third best bar in Asia even further with a fresh range of glassware.
Created in collaboration with Swedish glassware house Bobo, the Popolare Collection (or should we say Bobolare Collection?) consists of four brand-new glass designs: the Highball, the Spritz, the Rock, and the Martini. Just like Bar Leone itself, there’s nothing overtly fancy here, just a well-designed sense of ease and simplicity that makes you like it immediately.
Each glass is uncomplicated in its elegance, with a subtle flare at the rim to fit over thirsty lips. Our favourite is the Highball glass with its short, sturdy stem. This four-piece collection of professional-grade glassware was designed to withstand the hectic, high-volume environment of bars, but it can just as easily serve within households for years to come.
The Popolare Collection is now being used in Bar Leone, complementing their new cocktails perfectly. Retailers, hospitality partners, or even customers and fans interested in these glasses can register their interest with the bar staff or via hello@bobo.store. There isn’t a firm date on the official release yet, but it’s likely to be around autumn this year.
