Okay, we had heard about this back in August and were going to break the news in our upcoming Time Out Bar Guide 2026, but the cat’s out of the bag now! The great minds behind successful watering holes Bar Leone and Montana are cooking up something new – they’re opening a new bar in Rosewood Hong Kong.
Bar entrepreneurs Lorenzo Antinori and Justin Shun Wah are working on a brand-new concept that will take over the space where XX used to be. Ever since it stopped being a women-only bar, we’ve always felt the venue was rather under-utilised, and clearly the Rosewood people felt the same because they’ve passed the reins onto a capable team who live and breathe nightlife hospitality.
Not much has been revealed about the concept aside from the official release claiming that this will be “an exciting new chapter for cocktail culture in Hong Kong”, but considering how well-loved Bar Leone and Montana are, this is bound to become the city’s newest cocktail hotspot.
Antinori and Shun Wah’s new bar will open in Rosewood Hong Kong in November, but keep an eye out in October when we will finally hear more details about the project.
