On August 25, Ovolo Southside wants you to paws to admire International Dog Day. In honour of the occasion, the hotel is hosting a brunch party for your puppers that’s sure to be a tail-chasing good time. From 12-3pm, all pups and dogs are invited to Komune’s terrace, where there will be a build-your-own doggy bowl that will have your four-legged friends licking their bowls clean. They’ll even have the chance to paw-ty it up with complimentary dogtails, with the choice of either a puppy colada or watermelon julep.
Dog parents, don’t fret: you can also partake in this ulti-mutt celebration. We two-legged types can enjoy brunch at $338 per person, and there are plenty of other treats — in the form of actual cocktails — to go around. Don’t have a dog? Visit any Ovolo property in Hong Kong on Monday 26 August, when cute canine ambassadors will be on site and ready for petting at each location in the city.
The VIP treatment for our furry friends isn’t limited to this event, though. Now, all dogs are welcome at any Ovolo Hotel in Hong Kong and Australia through the recently launched ‘VIPooch’ programme. That means both you and your pup can enjoy a stay that won’t be fur-gotten anytime soon.
Reservations for the brunch are recommended; visit ovolohotels.com for more information. By Mabel Lui
