If you’re looking for ways to spruce up your at-home lunches or dinner, KiKi Noodle has got you covered. This popular, healthy, and preservative-free Taiwanese noodle brand has expanded its premium range of natural, handmade, and sun-dried noodles to a total of eight flavours, including its brand new Taiwanese barbecue sauce noodles!

Inspired by the traditional ‘shacha’ sauce, commonly used as a marinade, a hotpot dipping sauce, or as a soup base in Chiu Chow and Fujian cuisine, the brand’s chefs used timeless ingredients such as dried fish, garlic, ginger powder, dried shallot, sesame, and dried Taiwan mauxia (tiny shrimps) to create this fragrant, aromatic, and savoury sauce with an extra kick. The noodles are also flat and wavy instead of your usual round, spaghetti-style to enhance its chewy texture and better capture the flavours of the sauce. All you need now is some shallots and scallions, and you've got yourself a scrumptious dish! And if you're looking to keep it healthy, throw in some veggies and meat, and use only half or three-quarters of the shacha packet. You can thank us later.

The new KiKi Taiwanese Barbecue Sauce Noodles are now available at Wellcome, Market Place by Jasons, and KiKi Fine Goods for a pack of five at $68. Andrea Wong
