We all went nuts for McDonald’s limited edition durian ice cream last month (which ran out within two days after launching). Well, here’s another reason to flock to one of the dizzyingly numerous branches. The fast-food behemoth has announced that they’re handing out 1,000 free cups of Hong Kong-style milk tea across all stores (with the exception of a few including The Peak, Ocean Park, Hong Kong airport and Admiralty Centre) this Wednesday, August 8.
The campaign is part of a special collaboration with Tsit Wing Company – the historic local brand that provides all your favourite milk tea and coffee at cha chaan tengs, and it just so happens to land on a super auspicious day (you know, the eighth day of the eighth month in the year 2018).
McDonald’s will start giving out the freebies, which you can enjoy iced or hot – from 7am onwards so better wake up bright and early to avoid disappointment.
