Will you take on the challenge?

Imagine staring down 1.2kg of premium beef, stacked into three double-patty burgers, with just 30 minutes to conquer it all – if that sounds like your idea of weekend excitement, Murray Lane’s Weekend Gourmet Burger Challenge might just be what you need.
Every Saturday and Sunday since the end of February, Murray Lane has been calling out to all those who dare to tackle their trio of signature gourmet burgers against the clock. Participants will get to choose one of three flavours from their lineup, including the ‘Brooklyn’ burger with lobster remoulade, the ‘Tribeca’ paired with foie gras and black truffle, or the ‘Queens’ with smoked ham. Each burger is a double-decker masterpiece, served alongside a portion of fries and your choice of complimentary soft drinks or a pint of beer to help wash it down.
The rules are simple. Arrive at Murray Lane on the lower ground floor of The Murray in Central, take a seat indoors where staff can supervise, wait for the official start signal, and then you have exactly 30 minutes to finish everything on your plate. No assistance from anyone, no shortcuts – just you, the food, and the timer. The challenge is open only to individuals aged 18 or older, and each person can only attempt it once during the promotion period.
If you finish within the time limit, the meal is complimentary. You’ll also walk away with a limited-edition Murray Lane Burger Challenge T-shirt and a one-time $500 dining credit valid for three months. But if the timer runs out with anything left uneaten or unswallowed, a charge of $688+ will apply. For a less intense option, the same gourmet burgers are available à la carte at $318 each on the weekend menu.
Whether you’re a competitive eater in disguise or simply someone who appreciates a good burger with a side of thrill, this meaty challenge will leave you either with plenty of bragging rights or just a very full stomach. If you’re up for the challenge, remember to first consider your own health and dietary restrictions as it’ll be a substantial quantity of food in a very limited time frame. Pace yourself, maybe skip breakfast beforehand, and good luck!
