This August, take your four-legged friends out for some fun in the sun at Metroplaza’s Puppy Splash-Summer HappyFest. From now until September 3, the Kwai Fong shopping mall is holding a series of dog-friendly events where pet owners can bring their pups to make some new furry friends and have the time of their lives.
Throughout the festival, Metroplaza will transform its outdoor space on the fourth floor into Pets Park, a colourful hangout spot for pups to run around and let loose. In addition to having obstacles like hurdles, tunnels, and platforms for your doggos to test out their agility skills, the Pets Park also has Instagrammable installations like skateboards and a larger-than-life food bowl decorated with bone-shaped treats for you to snap adorable pictures with.
Aside from facilities at the Pets Park, there will also be a fun water festival on August 19 and 20, where pups can have a swim in a doggy pool full of floaties! Each dog will only be allowed to use the pool for 20 minutes, and will be provided a lifejacket prior to entering the pool. In order to use the pool, pet owners can use 500 loyalty points from Sun Hung Kai Properties’ loyalty program app, The Point, and provide proof of electronic payments worth $100 on their day of visiting to register for a time slot. Alternatively, those who do not have The Point may visit Metroplaza’s customer service area to provide proof of electronic payments worth $200 on the day, and receive an admission pass for the doggy pool.
The summer festival will also offer a series of crafting workshops, such as creating all-natural pet skin care products on August 19 and 20, and a pet collage session on August 26 and 27. In order to take part in the workshops, attendees are required to use 2,000 loyalty points from The Point to secure their spots, as well as spend a total of $500 on the specific date of their desired workshop. Finally, all Metroplaza visitors who bring their dogs during the summer festival and like Metroplaza’s Facebook and Instagram accounts are eligible to receive a free poochini from Shake Shack (until stocks last).
