The 2026 FIFA World Cup is officially upon us, which means local football fans are gearing up to support their teams – and by “support”, we mean wrecking their sleep schedules, given that most matches kick off in the dead of the night for Hongkongers. Fortunately, various local malls, bars, and eateries are stepping up to host live screenings, with some generously staying open 24 hours to accommodate your impending insomnia. Whether you’re hunting for a free public venue or looking to stream it safely from the comfort of your couch, here is your definitive guide to catching every 2026 World Cup broadcast in Hong Kong.

Best places to watch the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Hong Kong

  • Sports bars

The city is packed with excellent watering holes that are more than happy to host your late-night viewings. Places like Wan Chai Stadium, Belly and the Beer, and The Blind Pig are showing all 104 games live, opening around the clock throughout the tournament with massive screens, cold beers, great food, and a lively atmosphere no matter the time of day. If you’re just hoping to cheer on a few of your favourite teams, however, we recommend heading to The Globe or Jack's Racquet Room where they’re screening selected matches throughout the day.
