2020’s Michelin Stars – London’s winners and losers

Ah, Michelin. We don’t always agree with the Gallic gastronomes (though we do love Bibendum, their tyre-tummied mascot). But my, their awards do cause a kerfuffle.

This year, there’s already an outcry about the lack of stars for the London 2020 Michelin Guide – just four new one-starrers, plus a couple of ‘upgrades’. And, as ever, there’s also a handful of restaurants that have been given the ceremonial chop.

Here’s who’s in, and who’s out:

NEW ONE STARS
Da Terra at the Town Hall Hotel, Bethnal Green
The Dysart Petersham, Richmond
Endo, White City
Maos, Shoreditch

NEW TWO STARS
La Dame de Pic at the Four Seasons Tower Hill

NEW THREE STARS
Sketch Lecture Room and Library

WHO’S OUT (excluding restaurant closures)
The Araki
Benares
L’atelier du Joel Robuchon
Galvin at Windows
Yauatcha

Bibendum giveth, and he taketh away.
