Time Out says

Victoria’s largest Christmas lights display will mesmerise kids and adults alike

Driving around the neighbourhood hunting festively adorned houses is a Christmas family tradition, but you can take the kaleidoscopic vibes to a whole new level with Adventure Park’s Christmas Festival of Lights. If you think suburban streets hung with festoons are impressive, your jaw will be on the floor when you behold more than 1,000 dazzling light installations and 3.3 million individual lights.

From Saturday, November 17 until December 31 (not including Christmas Day), Adventure Park will spring to life with Victoria’s largest Christmas lights display. This annual festival is back for 2023, with more than 300,000 brand new lights and fresh entertainment ready to amaze the little ones.

Adventure Park managing director Bree Salmon says creating novel, mind-blowing experiences each year is her top priority. “This year, guests can expect to see more beautiful and immersive light installations they can walk through to capture those epic photo moments. Kids will be delighted with the new displays providing hours of Christmas-themed entertainment”, says Salmon.

As always, none other than Santa will be in attendance at the park, ready to star in professional family photos and supervise the kids as they post letters destined for the North Pole. When that’s done, you can take them to marvel at the new high-flying elf trapeze show, or bop along to the new animatronic musical show featuring polar bears and Santa’s reindeers.

Be amongst the first to see a new line-up of light displays – 20-metre tunnel of candy canes, anyone? You’ll also want to make sure you explore the 100-metre lights maze, check out the 12-metre confetti box and gaze up at the whopping 15-metre Christmas tree.

If your senses are still looking for even more stimulation, simply jump on one of the eight on-site theme park rides, including the classic tea cups and ferris wheel. The South Barwon Salvation Army Band will provide a cheerful festive soundtrack and you can also shop for a Christmas gift or decoration at the new gift shop.

Tickets are limited each night and often sell out on Fridays and Saturdays. We recommend booking ahead here to secure your slice of Christmas fun.
