We've seen things you humans wouldn't believe. Jaffles riding parachutes. Melbhenge. Bacon ice cream. And soon, we're gonna see a Blade Runner-themed bar.

Of course, it's to promote the October 5 release of Blade Runner 2049, but we can't wait to drop in, exchange world-weary looks with the bartenders and maybe leave an origami unicorn on the bar as an enigmatic tip.

Cinema Nova is opening the pop-up, called Bar 2049, in the Nova Bar & Kitchen, inspired by the visuals of the long-awaited sequel starring Ryan Gosling as well as the 1982 Harrison Ford original.

The bar promises wall murals from street artist Chris Hancock (Blender Creative) as well as video installations from filmmaker Ben Helweg, an audio soundscape using the famous Vangelis music from Blade Runner, and a ‘Tastes from the Future’ menu including Blade Runner-themed cocktails the Nexus 9 and the Offworld.

Bar 2049 @ Cinema Nova will be open to the public from Thursday September 28. Better bring your portable Voight-Kampff test though: that good-looking stranger may just turn out to be a replicant.

Catch a movie in Melbourne tonight.
