And so it returns. Now entering its nineteenth season, the Summer Night Market sets up shop at Queen Victoria Market every Wednesday to take us through those balmy hump days.

As ever, the Queen Victoria Market Summer Night Market will offer diverse food offerings, refreshing drink selections and a vibrant summer atmosphere. This year, the market shakes things up with a weekly theme, kicking off on Wednesday November 16 in true disco-funk style. Roving performers join an impressive live music line-up that features Tek Tek Ensemble, That Gold Street Band, The Everyman and James Kenyon to deliver original blues, funk and soul performances.

400 Gradi introduce their new 'Trapizzino' pizza pockets while the Pimm's Garden serve Pimm's jugs with a side of strawberries and cream. MJR Tom heats things up on its open air barbecue, while Forbidden Apples caters to any sweet tooth (Yarra Valley apples are dipped in caramel and sweet toppings).

The drinks offering is particularly impressive. Coopers will serve its limited edition Amber Ale (made especially for the Summer Night Market) and from December 7, Cheeky Rascal Cider will introduce a frozen cider bar, featuring icy versions of its Strawberry and Pear Cider and Apple Cider. If you want to keep things super cool, get on board the Frosé Bar, which offers a frozen version of the sweet summer classic, rosé wine.

The Summer Night Market lands at Queen Victoria Market every Wednesday between 5-10pm. The season will run from Wednesday November 16 - Wednesday March 8, excluding Wednesday December 28.

While you're there, stick around and check out chef Scott Pickett's newest venue Pickett's Deli and Rotisserie.
