Rock up to the NGV at 3am

If you haven't managed to check out the Andy Warhol/Ai Weiwei exhibition, the NGV International is giving Melbourne one last chance to see it by opening the exhibition for 24 hours this ANZAC Day long weekend, from 10pm on Saturday 23 April to 10 pm Sunday 24 April. The exhibition will also be open on ANZAC Day from 1-5pm before it packs up to make way for the NGV's next showcase.

Dance off to Kanye and Drake at Laundry Bar

Alright, we're down to the last warm weather long weekend for the year and you're going to want to celebrate with a bit of Drake and Kanye West action at Fitzroy hip-hop club Laundry Bar. For one night only, this club is putting on the biggest hip-hop battle of all time (of all time!) dedicating the ground floor d-floor to the saddest Canadian rapper of all time, while the upstairs space will be kept for the man who once declared "I am a god".

Cutting Shapes at Glamorama

Brunswick Street club Glamorama is putting on one heck of a long weekend party. The Cutting Shapes bash will stretch on for 12 hours (from 3pm to 3am) on ANZAC Day eve, and will feature Melbourne's Cutting Shapes DJ duo who will be joined by Simon TK, Lifeworld, Myles Mac and Sydney's D&D. You'll need to fuel up for a marathon party, so good thing the Glamorama's got you covered with a menu that covers meat pies to chips and gravy.

ANZAC Day Dawn Service

Join thousands of veterans, their descendants, and current serving personnel to pay respect to the ANZACs at the Shrine of Remembrance on ANZAC Day. It is recommended to start assembling at the Shrine Forecourt by 4.30am before the ceremony starts at 6am. The Dawn Service finishes at around 6.30pm, and you can continue the ANZAC Day spirit at the ANZAC Day March at 9am, which kicks off on the intersection of Flinders and Swanston Streets and finishes at the Shrine of Remembrance.

Two-up, pub grub, and BBQ action at The Palace South Melbourne

South Melbourne pub The Palace going to be a great destination for your post-ANZAC Day March bevvy. The taps will be flowing and the BBQ will be fired up in time for lunch. The owners have also set up a spit roast in the beer garden for a slow-cooked long weekend lunch. It's not ANZAC Day without a game of two-up so polish your skills, because The Palace will also be sticking with tradition with a few rounds.

Watch the footy at the Richmond Club Hotel

Raise a glass to the ANZACs and head to the Richmond Club Hotel for a special ANZAC Day footy session to watch the Magpies and the Bombers battle it out on the field. Only a stone's throw away from the 'G, the Richmond Club Hotel has also recently revamped their rooftop bar if you feel like getting a parma and pint of the finest with views of Richmond.
