The ‘Diamonds on the Inside’ singer is coming to Melbourne for a solo headline show

It’s been four long years since Ben Harper last graced our fair shores (he played at the 30th anniversary of Byron Bay Bluesfest back in 2019), but the Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter, musician and producer is back to play a one-off show in Melbourne.

Harper will hit up the Palais Theatre in St Kilda on February 7 to perform music spanning his entire catalogue plus tunes from his brand new acclaimed album, Bloodline Maintenance – a fiercely personal and deeply soulful release. Expect classic hits like ‘Diamonds on the Inside’, Steal My Kisses’ and ‘Boa Sorte/Good Luck’ as well as the first single off his new record, ‘We Need to Talk About It’.

“It was like I was moving forward and venturing into places I had never been before. Taking everything I've learned from every other record and kind of setting fire to it all and starting over,” Harper says of his new album. “And I knew the sounds I was hearing in my head were so unorthodox that I had to do most of it myself.”

Limited tickets for the Melbourne show are still available at Ticketmaster
