While it technically peaks just after midnight, we expect viewing windows will be best after sunset on both Wednesday, July 29 and Thursday, July 30. What is the Buck Moon?
July’s full moon is traditionally called the Buck Moon by Native American tribes, marking the time of year when young male deer in the Northern Hemisphere begin growing their new antlers. While the seasonal meaning isn't really relevant for us in the Southern Hemisphere, we love that every full moon has its own unique story.
