If you’re one of the many souls catching a flight this Christmas your time at Melbourne Airport just got a lot more festive. Collingwood brewery pub Stomping Ground have opened a pop-up bar at the airport to help make your holiday season travel a little more beer-able.

Stomping Ground’s new pop-up bar goes by the name of Terminal 3 ½ (or just T3 ½) and funnily enough, you will find it halfway between terminal three and four. You’re here for beer and T3 ½ doesn’t disappoint with ten of Stomping Ground's brews on tap as well as Victorian wines, cider and local soft drinks. Try one of their easy drinking beers like the Gipps St pale ale or Hook-Turn pilsner, or if you’re feeling adventurous get a One-Eyed IPA or Hanging Rauch rauchbier.

T3 ½ will also brews of a different kind: coffee thanks to fellow Collingwood foodie institution, Proud Mary. If you’d rather not take your chances with your in-flight meal make sure you grab a bite from one of the pop-up’s rotating selection of food trucks. There’s even a play area to keep kids entertained, and ice creams available to keep them quiet.

Grab a bevvie and sit on one of the bar’s outdoor deckchairs – you won’t even care that you forgot to pack your granny’s Christmas present. Just like the Melbourne Airport T3 ½ is open every day from 6am to 9pm (beers will be pouring from 10am) until April 3 2018.
