If you, like me, have ever thought "this houseboat could use a wraparound windscreen so that I can enjoy the majestic outdoors from the comfort of my four-seater leather couch," well, I’ve got extremely good news for you.

Victoria’s Murray River is home to the Boatel Luxury Houseboat, a 10-person riverboat that’s probably more luxurious than some of Melbourne’s best hotels.

This two-storey boat comes complete with (*deep breath*) a sky lounge, a lower swim platform, an alfresco barbecue and entertaining area, a fully functioning kitchen with a dishwasher and microwave, laundry facilities, an LCD TV with a high-tech audio-visual system, evaporative air conditioning, a built-in coffee machine and a dining setting that seats ten.

That’s not to mention the five king-sized beds (all with TV/DVDs), five ensuite bathrooms, plush outdoor couches and chairs and basically any other amenity you could possibly need.

The boat can fit up to eight people easily and ten at a squeeze. Prices start at $3800 for three nights (that’s $126 per person, per night), with prices varying throughout the year. Stay longer and you can get it for around $90 a night – what a steal!

You can check out all the details here.

These are the best places to see autumn leaves in Victoria.
