Time Out says

Neil Perry's Burger Project has opened its first store in Melbourne at the new St Collins Lane development. Those familiar with Sydney venues at World Square and MLC Centre can expect to find the same menu at the Melbourne venue with 13 burgers including the signature double cheeseburger with medium rare patties and the spicy fried chicken katsu burger if you're after something a bit more left-of-centre.

The Burger Project came out of the popularity of Rockpool bar and Grill's wagyu burger (which made it into our list of best burgers in Melbourne), but the Shake Shack-style version of the burger doesn't skimp on quality, using grass-fed Cape Grim beef that's minced and hand-shaped daily. Like any decent burger joint, the menu Melbourne's Burger Project also features sundaes (we have an eye on the Blueberry Pie one with vanilla bean ice cream, blueberry compote and crumble), and thick shakes. If you feel like a soda, there are a couple of housemade options in passion pop and strawberry.

The first Burger Project venue in Melbourne will soon be followed by another in Chadstone (due in September 30), though word on the street is Perry is scouting for other locations in Melbourne.
