Pivot over to John Cain Arena this year to catch our two Victorian teams (the Melbourne Vixens and the Collingwood Magpies) battle for the championship in the 2023 Suncorp Super Netball tournament. In 2017, the SSN replaced the ANZ Championship, which included teams from New Zealand, to form an Australia-only tourney of the best squads in our nation.
A Victorian team has only taken home the gold once since the SSN's inception, winning the Grand Final back in 2020. The New South Wales Swifts and the Sunshine Coast Lightning each have the most titles to their name, with two apiece. We don't want to jinx it, but we reckon this could be the year that Victoria stakes its second win in SSN history.
