Built on the corner of Bridge Road and Church Street, Richmond Traders is designed to be your one-stop-shop for everything from groceries and grab-and-go meals to pet treats and baked goods.
On top of bringing convenient fresh food options to Richmond locals, the space is also designed to be sustainable. The hall was built with responsibly sourced steel and timber and utilises rainwater where possible. To encourage greener ways of travel, there are dedicated car-sharing spaces, bike parking and electric vehicle charging stations powered with solar and green energy.
So far, the halls are filled with beloved Melbourne institutions like Earl Canteen and Cannings Free Range Butchers as well as cafés like Cobb Lane and Au79. The space is also home to a premium Coles complete with a pet treat bar, frozen desserts buffet and extensive bakery, and you'll be able to shop craft beers and overseas wines at Vintage Cellars.
More traders will continue to fill the space over the coming months, and there will also be options for laneway, open-air dining. To make it easy to haul home all your goodies, there's a car park with 250 spaces and parking is free for the first two hours.
