Award-winning Soho bar, Bar Termini, has generously sent us two of its master bartenders for an exclusive pop-up experience. Fresh off the plane from London, Maros Potucek and Leonardo Filipponni can be spotted at the Lounge at Collins Street's Society on Sunday 23 and Monday 24, serving thirsty Melburnians some of their finest drinks.
Globally lauded for being masters of the cocktail craft, London’s Bar Termini has appeared three times on the World’s 50 Best Bars list and takes its inspiration from the traditional bar culture of 1950s Italy. End your week nestled in one of the Lounge’s plush sofas and get a taste of the science and art behind what it really takes to create a world-class cocktail.
The exclusive two-night residency runs from 5pm to 8pm, with the Lounge accepting walk-ins only. It's plenty of time to watch the talented pair mix their magic behind the bar as you work your way through the signature cocktail menu.
Start with the fresh and effervescent Termini Spritz, which blends gin, Aperol and prosecco with a rhubarb cordial. The Marsala Martini also features a foundation of quality gin, upon which complex layers of marsala dolce, dry vermouth, almond bitters and pickled almond are blended with finesse. Next on the list is R.E.D., a concoction of raspberry, Campari and grapefruit bitters, and the citrusy Garibaldi. Finally, Negroni enthusiasts won’t want to miss Bar Termini’s renowned Negroni Superiore.
A snack menu has been carefully curated to pair with Bar Termini’s cocktails, including an assortment of freshly shucked oysters, Society’s signature caviar pretzel, oscietra caviar and lobster toast with sesame and lime. For more info, head to the website.
