Time Out says

A massive immersive outdoor experience will light up the night in the heart of our CBD this spring, transporting visitors to a magical world

A uniquely surreal outdoor event featuring giant illuminated animals will have jaws dropping when it takes over Birrarung Marr this September.

Electric Kingdom is a free event showcasing huge glowing art installations, including larger-than-life pandas and giraffes as well as an underwater wonderland.

To add to the magic, there'll also be roving performances, ambient soundscapes, and dynamic lighting installations that will have you taking plenty of happy snaps for the ‘gram.

The works will captivate visitors as they engage with the crowd and tell fascinating stories of endangered wildlife and more from our First Nations peoples.

The electrifying one-of-a-kind event has been brought to life by the production team behind other fantastic Melbourne events like Moomba and White Night, so you know it’s going to be epic.

Check it out each Thursday to Sunday night between September 7 and 17. Entry is free but you'll need to register online to choose a time slot between 6pm and 9pm. The event has previously sold out, but you can join the waitlist if you miss out.
