A royal event is hitting St Kilda for the Queen’s Birthday long weekend that includes live music, street performers, food and one hell of a long weekend vibe.
Kicking off at 3pm, the Fitzroy Street strip will be covered by roving street entertainment including musicians, fire twirlers, circus performers and a special appearance from Her Majesty the Queen (not the real one of course, but a fun Australian impersonator).
Go on a food crawl along the street, with croissants from Valerie Patisserie, Texan sized toasties from Misery Guts, Indian eats from Babu Jr or some classic fish and chips from Claypots Seafood Express.
If you’re after a tipple and some bar snacks, St LuJa will be serving whisky, Girl Next Door has killer cocktails and beer lovers can hit up Freddie Wimpoles and POW Kitchen.
The street party kicks on until 6pm, with celebrations continuing into the night at Robarta for an official after party. They’ll be serving special Queen’s cocktails for the royal occasion and will have DJs spinning tracks throughout the night.
