Get Grand Final ready at the Foxtel Footy Festival

To celebrate Melbourne’s biggest annual sporting event, Foxtel is combining everything we love about AFL with everything we love about Melbourne, and treating fans to a free four-day festival outside the MCG at Yarra Park. The festival brings together a huge range of activities including AFL player appearances, movie screenings, food and drink, live music and much, much more.

The Toyota AFL Grand Final Live Site will be the heart of the festival. Head to this area for hours of entertainment including the chance to meet current and past legends of the game, win prizes and admire an impressive collection of more than 100 past Premiership Cups.

Australian hip-hop artist Illy will be headlining the 2016 AFL Grand Final Eve free concert at the Foxtel Footy Festival, which kicks off from 5pm on Friday September 30. The platinum-selling artist, who says he'd "love to see the Bulldogs win the flag this year", will be performing hits as well as his new chart-topping single, 'Papercuts' featuring Vera Blue.

Taste snacks from Melbourne’s best food trucks, restaurants and wine bars at the Lifestyle Taste of Football. Try some of the AFL-inspired dishes made especially for the festival, including Biggie Smalls’ ‘Kbab’ (a burger crossed with kebab), Tokyo Tina’s ‘Breast on Ground’ (a five-spice chicken schnitzel) and Lady Carolina’s ‘Meat Pie Taco’.

Check out the Kids Zone for a ton of kids activities including the NAB Auskick Skill Challenge, the Woolworths AFL Playground, AFL Bounce and the world famous Nickelodeon Slime Lab. There’ll be arts and craft sessions where kids can design their own mini footballs; a Ben 10 Drone Zone where kids can learn how to fly a drone plus a bunch of special appearances from Foxtel’s favourite kids channels. Expect to see Duggee from Hey Duggee and Ubercorn; Disney Channel hosts, Adam and Ash; Disney XD’s GameFest hosts, Jackson and Emma plus loads more.

And there's more: support your favourite players before they take the field in the Final Parade (Fri Sep 30); visit Presto Movies for a free screening of Minions (Thu Sep 29) or head to the Grand Final Eve concert in Yarra Park (Fri Sep 30).

Sound exhausting? Don’t worry, you can relax and unwind at the Wolf Blass Nest Bar, the Bulmers Cider Garden or the Yak Ales Watering Hole.

Check out all the action when the Foxtel Footy Festival kicks off on Wednesday September 28 until the Grand Final Day Saturday October 1. Head down to Yarra Park and don't miss the fun activities and events before the biggest game of the year.
