Wine is great but free wine is even better, and nothing cures the winter blues better than the warm flush of a juicy vino in your belly. So Poodle Bar and Bistro is showing locals all the love with a complimentary wine tasting event available to the public on Sunday, July 30. Woo hoo!
It's the second edition of Plonk! – a series of events showcasing great wines at the bar and bistro, with a small selection of Poodle's classic dishes available to complement. The latest iteration showcases three different Italian winemakers, as well as aperitivi and digestivi by Aperitivo and Co to finish.
Fancy a drop so much you want to take it home with you? You can purchase a bottle from the suppliers at the end of the tasting. And if you get a bit peckish, the bistro's beloved club sandwiches and crab profiteroles will be available to order throughout the arvo.
Poodle’s full cocktail and beer list will also be on offer so if the fancy strikes, you can turn your bougie tasting moment into an all-out Sunday sesh.
There's no need to book, so simply grab a fellow vino lover and turn up on the day! The tasting session runs from 12-3pm – we recommend rocking up early to nab a table.
