It was a huge bummer for Melbourne's hospitality scene when Melbourne Food and Wine Festival was cancelled last year, but thankfully it's back for 2022 and better than ever. Celebrate its return with a series of exclusive events hosted at Rockpool Bar and Grill and Spice Temple this autumn.

Tickets are on sale now to MFWF subscribers and to the general public from Thursday, February 17, so get in quick to ensure you don't miss out on some incredible culinary events.

Greenstone and Gold
Rockpool Bar and Grill
March 29, 6.30pm-10pm

Acclaimed chef Christine Manfield and Miyunbal woman, food activist and educator Arabella Douglas will lead a one-night takeover at Rockpool Bar and Grill. The event honours greenstone and its place in the Kulin nation of south-central Victoria and gold in recognition of the Asian contribution to the building of Melbourne. Enjoy a five-course feast that takes you on an exploration of Asian and Indigenous ingredients and traditions and enlarges your perspective on First Nations food. Tickets are available here

Flame On with Fuschia Dunlop
Spice Temple
March 30, 7pm-10pm

Fuschia Dunlop is the first Westerner to train at the Sichuan Higher Institute of Cuisine, and she has been featured in the likes of Anthony Bourdain's Parts Unknown, the New Yorker and David Chang's Ugly Delicious. At this event, Dunlop will be joined by executive chef Andy Evans, head chef Josh Kerr and the Spice Temple team to put together a hot, numbing, nuanced and fresh multi-course banquet. Tickets are available here

High Steaks Lunch
Rockpool Bar and Grill
April 1 and 8, from 12pm-2.30pm

Celebrate the end of the week with a lunch at one of Melbourne's premier steakhouses. Start off with a Rockpool Martini made with Nagambie 3608 gin, manzanilla sherry and apple shrub followed by a fresh cos lettuce salad with blue cheese, bacon and walnuts. Next up is the star of the afternoon: the David Blackmore wagyu eye of chuck steak. Served with sides of potato and cabbage gratin and a salad made with cos, radicchio, endive and palm sugar vinaigrette, this midday feast is the perfect way to say hello to the weekend. Tickets are available here
