Time Out says

Let your inner nerd roam loud and proud

Every year we wait with bated breath to learn who will grace our shores for the cosplay nerdfest that is Supanova, and this year’s line-up doesn’t disappoint.

The Boys star Karl Urban leads the packed line-up and is slated to give a Q&A panel, studio portrait sessions and an opportunity to get autographs. On top of his turn as Billy Butcher in the hit Amazon Prime series, New Zealand-born Urban has also starred in cult classics like Dredd and the Marvel flick Thor: Ragnarok

Urban will be joined by Katee Sackhoff, who stars as Bo-Katan in The Mandalorian, as well as Stephen Amell and Emily Bett Rickards of The Arrowverse, Emilie De Ravin from Lost and Once Upon a Time, and Mark Sheppard from Supernatural.

It's not all television and movie actors, though; comic book creators and authors like Jim Cheung, whose credits include Justice League and Wonder Woman, as well as Samantha Shannon of The Bone Season series will also be in attendance.

And to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the classic dino flick Jurassic Park, there will also be a one-of-a-kind interactive T-Rex augmented reality experience. It's only the second time ever that fans can get up close with the life-size predator – it made its debut in London to celebrate the release of Jurassic World Dominion.

On top of Q&A opportunities and panel discussions, there will be ample workshops and cosplay geniuses at work all weekend. It’s a good opportunity to gawp at some wild costumes and stock up on zines and comics from the people who create them.

Supanova hits the Melbourne Showgrounds from April 22 to 23. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased via the website.
