Time Out says

Award-winning wines, delectable food and spectacular views all come together at this Bellarine gem

When Peter and Cate Slattery purchased this property in 2000, they did so with the ambition of creating the most beautiful food and wine destination on the Bellarine Peninsula. And within moments of stepping onto the top deck of the multi-level cellar door, it's clear that this vision was realised, and that the name Terindah ('most beautiful' in Indonesian) is well-deserved.

The 100-acre property offers uninterrupted views of Port Phillip Bay and the You Yangs, and in the years since opening, it's become a coveted wedding destination. The Slattery's planted shiraz, pinot noir, pinot gris, picolit, chardonnay and zinfandel on the property, and five of the estate-made wines have scored 90 points or above in the Halliday Wine Companion

For soaking up the views and the drops, visitors have multiple options. Lounge outside and soak up the sunshine at the Deck, which is the cellar door's wrap-around back patio, or dine inside the Shed, a greenhouse-style dining area with a menu by executive chef Russell Hall. Or, choose the most recent – and arguably most interesting – addition to the property, a decommissioned old W class tram.

Melbourne city council was selling the trams at an auction, and Cate bid on one for a mere $1000. That may sound like an absolute steal, but after winning, the Slattery's realised that the refurbishment would cost upwards of $350,000. But it had always been a dream of Peter's to have the tram on the property, so they pressed on. Peter sadly passed in January 2022, so when the tram finally was ready to be operational as a bar and café, it bore a sign reading 'Peter's Odyssey' in his honour.
