You and your little ones are awesome human beings. You are walking, talking ecosystem!

To shine a light on yourself, the American Museum of Natural History has opened a brand new exhibit, "Inside You," that explores how our bodies are home to many trillions of microbes, bacteria, viruses, fungi and many other organisms. This new gallery introduces your family to the world of microbes and how they impact our health and well-being.

Kids can find out how their bodies are shaped by what we eat and the city we live in. Plus facts about what can influence the 100 trillion microbes inside you (they can be affected by what you touch, what you wear and your furry friends)!

The exhibit is open to the public through June 16, 2019. For more family fun in the city, explore our favorite things to do with kids in NYC, our favorite free things to do with kids and our roundup of the best summer activities for kids
