We here at Time Out New York and our sister publication Time Out Los Angeles have had plenty of friendly arguments on why our respective cities are actually the best in America, but this week Jimmy Kimmel Live! took the age-old debate to the playground. While New York parents might talk about our phenomenal children's museums and L.A. grownups will brag about the quality of their public parks, kids have a few ideas of their own.
On the side of "New York is better," pint-sized Gothamites explained that their metropolis is best because "you don't need to be stuck in a car all day," the lack of Kardashians, and "real food." Little Angelinos came in strong, however, with their counterpoints: L.A. has Legoland, "people are fat [in NYC]," and one kid's mom's brother (or sister? he seems unclear) lives there. But, we think the best point was made by one boy wearing a New York Giants jacket who said, "We're the best city in the world, no explanation, hand's down." We happen to agree.
