Families and fresh frozen food-snackers everywhere are freaking out, and for good reason: A brand new Trader Joe's location is coming to the Lower East Side this month. This will be the 7th Trader Joe's built in Manhattan, and it will be located at 400 Grand St. With 30,000 square feet of shopping space, we're pretty sure that this fan-favorite chain will carry everything your heart desires—whether that's Cookie Butter, Gone Bananas or a big old helping of Mandarin Orange Chicken after a long day at the office. Did we mention that it's also above Target?

The Lo-Down reports that the interior will feature some pretty cool murals that nod to some of the city's most iconic landmarks, and Trader Joe's' announcement comes just a few months after the Trader Joe's Soho location opened (May 2018). If you're available in the morning for some food tastings, giveaways and other cool stuff, head to the new location at 8am on Friday, October 19 (the grocery store's opening day) for its opening celebration.

Sign up to receive great Time Out New York Kids deals in your inbox each day.

Since you'll have to wait a few weeks to set foot in the new location, fuel yourselves with visits to our favorite family restaurants, spots for ramen in NYC, and—if you're on a budget—restaurants where kids eat free.
