Dr. Seuss never sounded better.

Milwaukee actor and artist Wes Tank is posting videos of himself rapping his favorite Dr. Suess stories to tracks that sound like they were laid down by Dr. Dre. In other words: Tank mashed up the two Dr.'s to give you a storytime with a beat.

His reading of Fox in Sox (one of the 101 best books for kids of all time, in our opinion), has more than 2.2 million views since it was posted one month ago. That's a lot of tweetle beetle battles.

We can agree that Dr. Suess's lyrics—ahem, words—are a natural fit for this kind of driving rhythm. They go together just like green eggs and ham, or red fish and blue fish.

There's something reassuring about watching Tank put so much into these virtual storytimes. He records at his home studio, which is an old-fashioned stand mic set up in front of a bookcase. He's usually wearing a cozy sweater, and over-ear headphones. Add to that a copy of the Lorax, and Tank is ready to entertain kids all over the world.

There are six videos so far posted to Tank's YouTube playlist, and we hope more are on the way. After you've enjoyed them all, make sure to watch the best Dr. Seuss movies of all time!
