Ice cream and fish might not sound like a palatable pair, but it sure works for this ice cream shop hawking soft-serve swirls in open-mouth, fish-shaped waffle cones (taiyaki translates to “fried fish”). As the NYC Taiyaki shops aim for a May 22 reopening, Taiyaki co-founder Jimmy Chen says delivery will be an option in the coming weeks. "The main item will be our original taiyaki with red bean and custard filling as options as well as our line of cold matcha drinks such as the matcha cold brew, matcha latte and matcha frappe."
