It's finally arrived! Neil Perry's Parramatta Burger Project is opening this Friday, March 10. Neil himself will be behind the burners on opening day, from 11am.

Here's what we wrote back in 2016, when the opening was first announced:

It seems like Parramatta's star is well and truly on the rise. Not only will they be the proud new hosts of Tropfest in 2017, which will also be held on a late-night friendly Saturday next year, but now they getting their very own outpost of Neil Perry's famous burger bar, Burger Project.

When the famous fine-dining chef behind high-end eateries like Rockpool Bar and Grill, the new Eleven Bridge and Spice Temple opened a burger bar in World Square the lines were huge and the reception positive. And now he's bringing the party to Western Sydney on the ground floor of the V by Crown Group Tower, a new development featuring over 500 apartments, a bar on the 26th floor and soon, burgers.

You'll have to wait until early 2017 to gorge but luckily the venue will seat 100 people so the odds on you getting a table look good. The menu is set to feature ten different burgers in addition to their special fries menu, ice cream desserts, shakes and house-made sodas, plus they're going to be licensed so you have a glass of wine or a refreshing ale with your dinner.

Need a burger much sooner than that? Here's Sydney best burgers, ranked and rated.
