Sydney is awash with pretty outstanding takeaway offers at the moment, as more and more restaurants adapt to an alien landscape of empty eateries and deserted streets. Premium delivery services like Providoor, who recently launched in NSW, are making fine-dining experiences accessible while we’re stuck at home. Now the team behind Ester, Poly, AP Bakery - a fully licenced bakery that was slated to open in March 2021 - and Western Australian cheese producer, Colin Wood have joined forces to create a one stop shop named Poly Provisions. The unofficial lords of woodfire cooking are here to keep you fed and your spirits high during the Sydney lockdown with the aim of bringing a range of pantry staples, produce, condiments and finish-at-home meals to cover all your lockdown needs.

The menu changes each week and you can pick and choose from a whole bunch of good stuff; fresh bucatini with cacio e pepe sauce; AP Bakery buttermilk croissants; pastrami roasted cauliflower; brined, smoked and confited spatchock; or even a tin of Oscietra caviar because why not?

They’ve also opened up the exceptional cellar and dusted off some of the best bottles you’ll find in Sydney, with a focus on natural and minimal intervention wines. This is one to jump on quick smart. A limited number of deliveries are available for each pick-up day (Thu-Sat) if you live within 3km of Poly. Orders must be placed two days prior to pick up and are to be collected between 12-4pm. Strict? Perhaps. Worth it? Absolutely.
