Pastafarians, rejoice! Hong Kong is not just celebrating World Pasta Day on October 25, but turning it into a whole week of pasta feasts!
From October 25-31, 22 of Hong Kong’s top restaurants will offer limited-edition, pasta creations you won’t want to miss. For seafood lovers, grab a few friends and tuck into Fishsteria’s sharing-style lobster macaroni cooked with brandy and white wine, or dig into Three Blind Mice’s linguine with blue swimmer crab, clams and calamari. Feeling fancy? Then treat yourself to Mr and Mrs Fox’s inked angel hair pasta tossed with black truffle butter, cured guanciale and grilled calamari, or The Continental’s veal osso buco corzetti with bone marrow and white truffles. If you’re in the mood for just good, old-fashioned pasta, why not give Grissini’s homemade tagliolini or Fratelli’s creamy carbonara a try?
While you’re tucking into your rigatoni and slurping down your spaghetti, 10-20 percent of the proceeds from these limited-edition pastas will go towards supporting FoodLink Foundation in its mission to fight hunger and food waste in Hong Kong. So go ahead and carb up for a good cause. By Yvonne Lau
