Create your own steak sandwich and see it on the menu at Cornerstone

Cosy Soho bistro Cornerstone is challenging all foodies and budding chefs in Hong Kong to get busy in their kitchens and create their own rendition of the eatery's signature wagyu bavette. 

To help you make your very own restaurant-level steak sandwich, Cornerstone is providing cooking kits via Waves Pacific's online shop to get you started. Choose the Cornerstone Sandwich Set ($200) as a starter kit that includes two pieces of ciabatta bread, 300g wagyu bavette, and two cans of Peroni. For more ingredient options, opt for the Culinary Box package ($500) where you'll get all the aforementioned essentials, as well salmon fillet, jumbo quail, and Japanese Taiyouran eggs. Once you've got everything you need, whip out whatever culinary skills you have and get creative in the kitchen! 

Creatively plate your final sandwich, take a picture, and share your masterpiece on Instagram and tag @CornerstoneHongKong and @WavesPacific, with the hashtags #WPatHome, #CornerstoneChallenge, and #UltimateSteakSandwich. Australian restaurateur and celebrity chef Shane Osborn will choose the winning entry. The successful sandwich will be featured on Cornerstone's very own weekend brunch menu, and the winner will receive a complimentary brunch for two at the bistro.
