While we eagerly await Santa in full Christmas gear, let’s not forget the less fortunate among us.
Grocery delivery service Honestbee and surplus food redistribution charity Feeding Hong Kong came together in October for a food donation drive, allowing Hongkongers to purchase food items online and to donate them to someone in need.
The campaign has been a huge success so far – they’ve received more than four tonnes of rice and food worth $200,000 since the drive started. Thanks to all the awesome Time Out readers who reached into their wallet!
If you’ve yet to contribute and still want to join in, seize this last chance and choose to donate more than 20 staples like rice, noodles, cooking oil and canned food here at the online store.
By the end of the month, the charity hopes to hit its target of raising $300,000, so consider using this service if you still haven’t bought all you need for the festive period. Help them fulfil their Christmas wish by donating foodstuffs to keep the tummies – and hearts – of those in need warm this season. Priscilla Lee
