Updated January 11, 2021: Joint Asian Market, J.A.M has officially opened its doors in Central. Operated by ZS Hospitality Group, which currently runs two-Michelin starred Ying Jee Club, Hansik Goo, Lee Lo Mei, and Miss Lee, J.A.M features modern, elevated renditions of homegrown comfort food, local roadside diners, and neighbourhood street stalls.

Uncle Quek

The cross-cultural, vibrant food market showcases Korean, Vietnamese, Cantonese Dim Sum, and Singaporean cuisine by four talented chefs served at different stations. Chef Song Ha-seul-lam will be whipping up home-style Korean deli in Mamalee Market, chef Dinh Dinh-Tuan will be creating authentic Vietnamese classics in Moi Moi, chef Cheung Kin-Ming will be preparing unique dim sum at SiFu, and chef Barry Quek will be cooking Singaporean favourites at Uncle Quek. Each of these talents brings something special to the table while paying homage to their local Asian cuisine.

During J.A.M.'s soft opening, diners will have the chance to try one set menu from each cuisine, while a weekly rotating menu with new offerings every three months will be available after the market's official launch. Guests can select from a wide variety of comfort dishes with a modern twist to eat there or to takeaway, choosing between four three-course set lunch menus available from 12pm to 2pm ($138 to $158), with an optional beverage available at $10 or $20, or different afternoon tea menus ($98 to $128), inclusive of one beverage, from 2pm to 5.30pm. Vegetarian dishes for those with plant-based diets will also be available very soon, including Gỏi Bưởi Chay pomelo salad by Moi Moi, steamed black truffle mushroom dumplings by SiFu, achar salad by Uncle Quek, and more.
