While several of their members are away fulfilling their mandatory military service, K-pop supergroup Seventeen is making sure Carats stay well-fed with all kinds of activities. Following the debut of vocal duo DxS (DK x Seungkwan) earlier this year, the band’s latest project sees Vernon and The8 pairing up for a brand-new subunit called V8 – and they’re bringing their very first live tour straight to Hong Kong this summer.

Combining the ‘V’ from Vernon and ‘8’ from The8, the subunit’s name channels the powerful drive of a V8 engine as a symbol of their unstoppable artistic energy. It’s a fitting title, especially since the pair have been involved in the project from the planning stages, even participating in the process of song production. Fans can expect a fresh musical direction when their debut album drops on June 29.

The tour, officially titled ‘2026 Vernon The 8 [V8] Live’, will kick off at Goyang’s KINTEX in South Korea on July 11 and 12. Following the opening shows, the boys are heading across the water to take over AsiaWorld-Expo for two nights on July 18 and 19. It seems the group genuinely love returning to our city, with the upcoming shows coming just months after Seventeen’s packed-out concerts at Kai Tak Stadium back in February.

We are still waiting on the finer details such as ticket prices, seating plans, exclusive merch, and fan benefits, but more info is expected to be announced very soon. Keep your eyes on their official channels to make sure you don’t miss out.
