Mexcellente, Pololi's latest Tex Mex-inspired concept, is popping up for four days at popular dive bar The Pontiac. From November 29 to December 2, you can pick up some select dishes that feature flavourful Mexican recipes with a twist. Inspired by the team's memories of Mexican food in the US – at late-night burrito joints in San Jose and roadside tacos from neighbourhood trucks in Los Angeles – Mexcellente aims to be a similar go-to spot for late-night tacos.
Available items include the Tres Amigos Tacos (starts from $70) which includes of a choice of spicy pork adobada, beef barbacoa, or the vegetarian tofu sofritas. Each order comes with three double-layered tacos, and a choice of caliente salsas, along with avocado, cilantro and onion.
