Slowly gentrifying K-Town is a surprisingly photogenic neighbourhood and is home to one of the best places to Instagram in Hong Kong. The area is also a foodie favourite thanks to its wide range of cuisines – late night dim sum, Egyptian, all-day breakfasts, you name it. You can discover all this and more with our comprehensive neighbourhood guide. But if you’re in a rush, here are some of the best things to do close to the MTR station that you mustn’t miss.

  • Kennedy Town

Hankering for some post drinks dim sum or a super early breakfast? You can satisfy both cravings four minutes from Exit A at Sun Hing, which is open from 3am to 4pm daily. Top picks include the delicious custard buns, har gao (great with the special chilli sauce here) and the must-try crispy fried milk.

  • Coffeeshops
  • Kennedy Town

Literally just a minute away from MTR Exit C is the second branch of Winstons Coffee, which opened in Kennedy Town earlier this year and has proved to be an instant hit. Not much has changed from the original in Sai Ying Pun – there’s the same mix of coffee and coffee-based cocktails and the use of old cassette tapes to keep track of orders. Especially pleasant is the outdoor seating, which takes in lovely views of Forbes Street’s famous banyan trees.

Chill out with a view at Little Creatures
  • Bars and pubs
  • Kennedy Town

Born out of a former crocodile farm in Australia, Little Creatures is a top spot for a weekend chill out session. It’s a vast bar (by Hong Kong standards) with high ceilings, industrial fittings and a prime view of the waterfront. The laid-back joint offers the perfect mix of fresh food, good brews and an awesome sea view.

  • Kennedy Town

Literally just a minute’s walk uphill from Exit A is the Kennedy Town branch of The Hive. The co-working space is home to many local creative enterprises and start-ups and uses these connections to host unique workshops and events like fashion showcases and music nights. Keep an eye on the FB page to see what cool classes and happenings are coming up next.
