The Laundry says
The Laundry has been inspired by and created in part to honour the Edwardian heritage of the restaurant’s building, Walton Lodge on Coldharbour Lane in Brixton. Built in the 1880s and opened in 1904 under King Edward VII’s rule, Walton Lodge served as a commercial steam press laundry until those operations ceased in 2014. This history has inspired more than just the name of Melanie Brown’s first restaurant, it informs the ‘family sharing’ style of its all day dining menu.
Open from 8.30am daily, The Laundry is a place to enjoy everything from takeaway coffee and breakfast at our bustling bar and café dining through to cocktails and snacks on the terrace at sundown.
