The best takeout Thanksgiving dinners in Los Angeles

This year, leave Turkey Day cooking to some of L.A.'s best restaurants without sacrificing the comfort of home.

Over the last few years, plenty of Angelenos have discovered the beauty of ordering a premade, restaurant quality Thanksgiving meal at home. Between the cleanup, the potential for dry turkey and the possibility of forgotten ingredients, there’s plenty of stress that comes with cooking your own turkey at home, so why not leave it all to the pros?

RECOMMENDED: See our full guide to Thanksgiving in Los Angeles

For those who’d rather leave the house this year, some of the best restaurants in Los Angeles are taking all the hassle out of Turkey Day with out-of-the-house Thanksgiving feasts, but for those who'll be at home with family and friends, several L.A. restaurants are offering an entire Thanksgiving dinner to-go—complete with all the fixins. If you’re looking to avoid the stress of cooking for (and entertaining) your relatives, hang up your apron and order one of these premade Thanksgiving meals. Oh, and just make sure to head to one of L.A.’s best bakeries to pick up a pie, too.

November 2025: I’ve updated this guide for Thanksgiving 2025. This year’s crop of new offerings include Superba, A.O.C. and Cookbook. For Caribbean-inspired and Japanese-inspired spreads, look to Bridgetown Roti and the Japanese American Cultural & Community Center.  Pasjoli, Superfine Playa/Rossoblu, Huckleberry and Agnes have brought back their popular takeout spreads, and I’ve also added a more upscale option from Citrin/Mélisse.

Time Out has also instituted a sitewide change in review policies. All food and drink venues included in guides now have star ratings, with five stars corresponding to “amazing,” four to “great” and three to “good,” and we’ve also standardized how most listings are structured. For more on our new policies, feel free to check out How we review at Time Out.

What is it? Instead of boring old turkey, this Caribbean-Angeleno restaurant in East Hollywood is offering something a little more unique for Thanksgiving: jerk turkey legs ($20 for an approximately two pound portion), paired with mini patties ($60 for ten pieces), spiced collard greens ($22 for a quart) and the restaurant’s standout macaroni-and-cheese pie ($30 for a portion that feeds 8 to 10). For vegetarians, chef-owner Rashida Holmes has the regular menu’s chana and sweet potato curry ($22). Dessert’s covered as well, courtesy of Historic Filipinotown pop-up Chainsaw, with slices of passion fruit key lime pie for $11 a pop. To order, check out via Bridgetown Roti’s Square page.

This includes a 16- to 20-pound uncooked brined Mary’s Turkey ($195), complete with cooking instructions, plus a la carte sides ($30–36) like sourdough stuffing with turkey sausage, almonds, dates and kale; sweet potatoes with sherry, romesco and roasted shallots; brussels sprouts with balsamic, pancetta & thyme; and of course, mashed potatoes. What is it? A truly gourmet Thanksgiving spread from Josiah Citrin, the eponymous chef behind Michelin-starred Citrin and two Michelin starred Mélisse. Perhaps better suited to an intimate holiday for two, each dinner package includes a fall salad; pumpkin soup topped with pumpkin seed hash and whipped black truffle-maple; herb-roasted free-range turkey paired with  apple and brioche stuffing, chanterelle mushrooms and pomegranate gravy; dry-aged prime rib with horseradish jus; and four traditional sides (sweet yams, green beans, potato purée and cranberry sauce) inspired by the chef’s mother. What is it? This Culver City BBQ spot will be offering wood-smoked, all-natural, free-range, antibiotic-free turkey in four sizes, including boneless turkey breast, so you’re covered no matter your party size. And hey, if you order the largest—an 18-to-20 pound bird—you’ll probably have some for Thanksgiving leftover sandwiches the next day. Don’t neglect the bevy of sides, including cornbread-sausage stuffing, buttermilk biscuits, mac and cheese and braised greens. There are also trays of chocolate bread pudding and chocolate chip cookies for dessert. Whole turkey pricing depends on weight—$345 for 18–20 pounds; $295 for 15–17 pounds; $235 for 12–14 pounds; or $235 for seven pounds of unsliced turkey breast. Sides range $10–$55, or you can opt for a $290 all-sides package serving 10 to 12 guests. Dessert options range from $36 to $45. To order, head to Maple Block’s online form.

Part hearth-fired dinner spot, part market, part cheese shop, this Pasadena neighborhood joint from husband-and-wife team Vanessa and Thomas Tilaka Kalb, serves homey, comforting fare with an elegant edge. For Thanksgiving this year, the Midwestern-inspired restaurant is offering a “Grand Thanksgiving Feast” that skips the turkey in favor of a lamb Wellington. The family-style spread also includes four cheddar biscuits, pimento party potatoes, green bean casserole; cornbread stuffing; gravy; and pumpkin pie with whipped cream.
