George Calombaris's tasty souvlaki joint, Jimmy Grants, has had a bit of a menu revamp.

Jimmy Grants is no late-night greasepit. It’s a bar, diner and takeaway in one where you can get ouzo for a fiver, hammer huge fresh salads full of almonds, barley and citrusy handfuls of rough cut parsley, or get a baggie of slow-roasted lamb to go. There are seven locations (Emporium, Richmond, Chadstone, Eastland, Ormond, St Kilda and Fitzroy), and all will now be serving a bunch of new tasty things to try.

Our favourite of the new dishes is the Ms Gazi, which has migrated over from Calombaris's Greek tavern, Gazi. It comprises soft shell crab, kewpie mayo, Attiki honey, coriander, mint and Hellenic slaw.

The Greatness is a combo of two perfect late-night (or morning-after) foods: the souva and the dimmy. Inside you'll find slow-roasted lamb shoulder, chicken or a combo, a dim sim, and small chicken salt chips.

For those who prefer their souvas plant-based, there's the Green Greek, which is made of wombok, brown rice, zucchini, mushroom, eggplant, oregano pesto, seeds and nuts.

Don't forget the chicken salt chips! No souva is complete without them.

Craving souvas after midnight? Here are our favourite places for late-night eats in Melbourne. And if you're feeling daring, try one of these secret off-menu items
