Four up-and-coming chefs will battle it out at the Time Out Chef Showdown, each making their own dish for you to eat and vote on:

First course: Zach Furst from Ides will make Port Phillip scallops with camomile salt, sea blyth soured cream and kohlrabi sauce.

Second course: Dylan Forte from Bomba will make O’Connor’s steak tartare with yuzu, wasabi and baby shiso.

Third course: Punit Fernandes from Merrywell will make Milawa duck breast pumpkin custard, duck snow and wood oak log shiitake.

Fourth course: Jo Barrett from Oakridge will make a dessert of Davison plum, raspberry, peppermint hum and spelt.

To celebrate our finalists, we have two ‘Hot Seat’ tickets to the event to give away. You’ll get a four-course feast, a drink on arrival and plenty of good times at the CBD's favourite Peruvian restaurant, Pastuso.

This event is made possible thanks to OpenTable: all your restaurant booking needs sorted.

To win and to secure your seats at the judge's table (worth $120) simply enter your details and tell us your favourite OpenTable restaurant before 10am, November 10.
