Everyone loves good food but not everyone has the privilege to afford it. It's a sad reality for many but difficult to overlook, so some of Australia’s top chefs have decided to do something about it. On Saturday, May 17, they'll be joining forces with Aussie food relief charity Alex Makes Meals to present Feast to Feed: a five-course degustation dinner that raises funds to support those struggling across Greater Melbourne.
You'll taste signature dishes from foodie royalty Gary Mehigan and Matt Preston, Ross Magnaye (Serai), author Alice Zaslavski, Telina Menzies (Hotel Esplanade, The Prince Hotel, Garden State Hotel) and head chef Lee Dang from the Hardware Club.
Hosted by respected journalist and Masterchef judge Sofia Levin at St Kilda Town Hall, the dinner will go from 6pm until 11pm and will be accompanied by premium wines from Yalumba and TarraWarra, Antipodes Water and Hopr drinks.
Tickets cost $230 each and include a seat at the five-course degustation event, all drinks and an awesome goodie bag. All funds from the sales will go to the efforts of Alex Makes Meals.
Alex Makes Meals was born in the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, when a university student started to make meals for medical staff. It has since grown into a charity that helps ease food insecurity for homeless and disadvantaged youth by providing nutritious, tasty meals. Through the charity's work, every $1 donated turns into one meal for a vulnerable community member.
Tickets are limited and running out fast. Book now to secure your seat.
